Education and professional experience
Yann obtained his PhD in 2000 at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) in the field of Supramolecular chemistry. After two years working in the field of molecular modelling as temporary Lecturer in the same university and at INSA Lyon, he came back to supramolecular chemistry during two years as a post doctoral fellow in Pr. J. H. Tucker's group in UK where he developped anthracene containing molecular photoswitchable receptors.He was appointed as permanent Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Rennes 1 in September 2005 and joined the solid state chemistry and material team to develop a new research in the field of hybrid organic-inorganic functional nanomaterials. In particular, his research interests are focused on the integration of metallic clusters in organic matrices such as polymers or liquid crystals.
