Current Research Themes

  • Epitaxial growth and characterization of thin films of complex oxides deposited by pulsed laser deposition.
  • Synthesis and characterization of 2D oxides. Transfer by Langmuir-Blodgett and drop-casting deposition.
  • TEM, EELS/EFTEM, EDS and HRXRD studies on several materials.

Technical Skills

  • Transmission Electron Microscopy; Electron diffraction; Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy and Energy-Filtered TEM
  • XRD and HRXRD (reciprocal space maps, in-plane diffraction, grazing incidence diffraction, pole figures). X-ray reflectometry.

  • Langmuir-Blodgett deposition
