ISCR and OMC team doubly decorated by the CNRS last December 15, 2014


On December 15, 2014, at the University of Rennes 1 (Beaulieu campus), CNRS Silver and Bronze Medals have been handed over to Prof. Jean-François Carpentier and Doctor Fabrice Pointillart, respectively, from The Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes (ISCR-OMC team) in the presence of Dominique Massiot (Director of the Institute of Chemistry –INC CNRS), Claire-Marie Pradier (Scientific Assistant Director – INC CNRS), Clarisse David (Regional Delegate - CNRS), Guy Cathelineau (President of the University of Rennes 1) and Jean-Luc Adam (Director of the ISCR - UMR CNRS 6226).


On this occasion, a scientific day dedicated to organometallic catalysis and materials science with the participation of worldwide reputed lecturers has been organized by the OMC team. The invited speakers were: Matthias Beller (Rostock – Germany), Stephan Mecking (Konstanz, Germany), Piet van Leeuwen (Tarragona, Spain) Charlotte Williams (London, UK) for catalysis; and Roberta Sessoli (Firenze, Italy), Michel Verdaguer (Paris, France) for molecular magnetism.
