These days organized by the Rennes Institute of Physics & the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences took place from November 17 to 19, 2021.
Feedback on French Glass Days, 2021 edition

The USTV (Union pour la Science et la Technologie Verrières) / French Glass Days gathered together around one hundred people, among French glass manufacturers (Arc Int., Baccarat, CEA, Corning, Le Verre Fluoré, Noraker, Saint Gobain, Umicore IR Glass ...), academics (Bordeaux, Dijon, Limoges, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Orléans, Paris ...) and an artist (Lucile Viaud). These days of conferences and posters are an opportunity for professionals in the glass field to discuss issues and recent advances in the field of glass (optics, photonics, 3D printing, recycling, production, structure analysis, art, glass-ceramic, storage of nuclear waste, corrosion, bioactive glass, artificial intelligence, design of glasses and glass-ceramics with specific properties, diffusion, mechanical properties, etc.).

These days were also the occasion to rewards the USTV thesis prizes and distinguished laureates. The thesis prizes trophies have been created by  Thierry Pain, ISCR glassblower and laureate of the CNRS Crystal Medal (2020).

The committee thanks all the participants.
