For this edition, The Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR) was present at several places from October 5 to October 8.
At the Village des Sciences located in "Champs-Libres" at Rennes from October 5 to 8, the stand hosted around twenty classes, mainly 6-11 year old children due to the compulsory health pass. They were able to see how to extract odors and colors from plants by applying techniques used in our laboratories as well as the use of a gelling agent from brown algae used in molecular cooking. On Friday, classes of visually impaired students were welcomed to the specially adapted stand. Several ISCR members (teacher-researchers, researchers, engineers, post-doctors and PhD students) were present on site all along the event.
The ISCR was also present at Édulab Pasteur in Rennes, where Sophie Guillaume and Jean-Luc Audic gave the conference "Astonishing Polymers" on October 7. This conference simultaneously took place in several cities across France at the same time on the occasion of the celebration of the 50 years of the French Polymer Group (GFP) and of a century of polymers.
In Brécé, on October 8, Jeoffrey Tourneur gave the conference "From fossil chemistry to green chemistry: 3.0 mobility". He noticed the great interest of some participants for the subject.
We warmly thank the ISCR members for their involvement in this national scientific popularization event.
