Feedback on the 2022 edition of the "Chemistry & Terroir" meetings

This year, the 12th Chemistry & Terroir meeting welcomed more than 500 schoolchildren (primary schools, secondary schools, IME) on the first two days. The last day was dedicated to the general public.

Patrick Bauchat, Camille Cousseau, Emmanuelle Limanton, Camille Michel and Ludovic Paquin, members of the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR), offered workshops and demonstrations on :

  • the chemistry of extraction with " Why is tea better on vacation ? ",
  • the chemistry of emulsions, bubbles and gels with " Chemistry in your kitchen ",
  • the chemistry of materials and dyes with " Materials and colors of Aubusson tapestry ".

On Thursday evening, a conference on Aubusson tapestries was held at “la quincailleire numérique” in Guéret with the participation of Romain Bonnot (history teacher), Nadia Petkovic (dyer and colorist), Delphine Mangeret (designer and cartoon painter) and Emmanuelle Limanton (ISCR chemist).
