In the two weeks following the laboratory closing, the ISCR direction gathered up the stocks of gloves, protective glasses, masks and all the stocks of alcohol and products to produce hydro-alcoholic solutions (SHA). These solutions were prepared at the UFR pharmacy (Villejean site) thanks to involvment of the Pharmacy School Dean and numerous ISCR staff supervising pharmacy students. With the support of Rennes1 university and additional sponsors, more than 3,700 liters of SHA were prepared and distributed mainly in nursing homes and doctor’s offices from the very first weeks of quarantine, then in university of Rennes 1 laboratories to help the activities recovery. The distribution was carried out by staff from the Real Estate and Logistics Department of the University of Rennes 1.
All along the pandemic, the CNRS communicated widely on the mobilization within its laboratories. Recently, the special COVID-19 issue of "CNRS Le Journal", highlighted the involvement of ISCR with a photo taken during the preparation of hydro-alcoholic gel at ISCR (P 6)
