A senatorial delegation visits the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT)

The visit took place in the presence of the Consul General of France, Mr François Gautier, on 9th March 2017.

Université de Rennes 1 has been working with India for several years and in the fields of chemistry, economics and management in particular. The university recently signed a cooperation agreement with Pondichery University and has been involved in an International Associated Laboratory (LIA) in chemistry which has been in existence since 2008.

The university awarded professor Goverdhan Mehta of the International Council for Science in India the title of Docteur Honoris Causa in 2008, as well as professor Jhillu Singh Yadav of the CSIR-IICT and director of the LIA in 2015.

In 2015, professor René Grée, of Université de Rennes 1 (COrInt, ISCR), received the title of Honorary Fellow awarded by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI). He was also awarded the title of Foreign Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India.
