Main research activities

Design and characterization of metastable β titanium alloys with a special interest in superelastic and shape memory alloys and their mechanisms of deformation: dislocation slip, twinning and stress-induced martensitic transformation. Experimental technics mainly used: Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) including in situ straining experiments; Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction (EBSD); X-Ray diffraction including in situ tensile tests under synchrotron radiation.
