Chiral porphyrinic cages studied by chiroptical spectroscopies !

Chiral molecular cages from the group of Hans Elemans and Roeland Nolte (Molecular nanotechnology, Nijmegen, The Netherlands) have been characterized by chiroptical spectroscopies, in collaboration with Nicolas Vanthuyne and Jean-Valère Naubron (Chirosciences, Spectropôle, Marseille).

We have demonstrated the interest of vibrational chiroptical spectroscopy (VCD) in the study of the recognition process of chiral viologen molecules by the enantiopure cage.

This work was performed by Jiangkun Ouyang, former doctorant of ISCR and post-doctorant at Nijmegen.
