The 42nd days of the Grand Ouest Section of the French Group for Studies and Applications of Polymers (GFP) will take place on the site of the University of Rennes1 at the National School of Chemistry of Rennes (ENSCR) from 5 to July 6, 2022. These days will be co-organized by the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR, CNRS/ENSCR/Rennes 1 University), which activities in the field of chemistry revolve around three major axes associated with strong societal challenges:
- Molecules and Materials for Health,
- Molecules and Materials for Optics and Electronics,
- Chemistry and Engineering for Sustainable Development.
The scientific objective of these days is to promote an exchange between polymerists from the Grand-Ouest region, which covers the regions of Normandy, Brittany, Centre-Val de Loire, Pays de Loire. The themes that will be addressed may cover the entire spectrum of the (physico-)chemistry of polymers (synthesis, characterization, shaping and properties) for applications ranging from health to energy, from the environment to cosmetics and from agri-food to transport…
This symposium will encourage oral presentations by young polymerists (contract researchers, post-docs, doctoral students, M2 interns, etc.) which will be structured around plenary conferences by prestigious guests (including some from the industrial world). The presence of confirmed scientific specialists from laboratories throughout the Grand-Ouest region is an important element, which will contribute to the richness of the debates and the dynamism of our section.
The local organizing committee hope to welcome many of you in Rennes.
